About me

Do you struggle with anxiety but do not know how to deal with it? Are you often tired or stressed from doing too much? Do you feel unhappy, and do not know why? Are you stuck in a rut and lack the motivation to make positive changes?

Everyone has times where they struggle because sometimes life is hard. I can offer a safe space to explore your feelings and problems and support you through these difficult times. Somewhere that is confidential, where you can be listened to, heard, and feel completely understood.

Allowing yourself to receive support is the first step towards feeling a sense of relief. You are unique, and the way in which you experience your problem is specific to you, therefore therapy sessions are individually tailored to meet your needs.

As a BACP registered and accredited Counsellor with over 22 years experience working in private practice, I have fine-tuned my method of working and integrated the most beneficial principles of different disciplines into a framework of highly effective therapy. I have previously worked within higher education, and NHS Talking Therapies, where I have supported a diverse range of clients and issues. I also currently support members of staff working within the NHS.

My particular specialisms are in working with adults who experience: difficulties in relationships, lack of emotional self-care; suffer with anxiety; depression; low mood; anger; or stress. I support adults to explore, make sense of, and learn to manage uncomfortable feelings, or difficult life challenges, in order for them to find a way forward. Often past experiences can cause problems and behaviours in the present, and therefore we may need to explore this in order for you to move forward in your future life goals.

I offer counselling and psychotherapy face-to-face in Pocklington, East Yorkshire, as well as over the telephone or online via Zoom within the UK. Please get in touch to explore if we would like to work together.
