About me

Geri is a Senior Psychological Therapist with over thirty years experience of working with people experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties. Geri is an accredited member of the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapists (BABCP) and qualified Counsellor
Geri has received additional training in Systemic Family work, Compassion Focused Therapy , CBT -E and CBT-T (eating disorders ) Acceptance Commitment Therapy , Bereavement and EMDR.
She has significant experience of working with young people and adults who are struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, cancer and bereavement. Geri is an integrative practitioner adopting a collaborative treatment approach and is very much guided by a person's understanding of their difficulties.
Geri has for many years worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and until recently was the Clinical Lead of a community eating disorder service. She has also worked in an addiction treatment centre engaging in therapy with patients and their families. She also provides psychological consultation to a Foster Care and Adoption Agency and works as a therapist in a Staff Workplace Wellbeing Service.
Geri has additional training and qualifications in supervision and provides this to both qualified and therapists in training. She also lectures on a long term health condition course for qualified therapists
