About me

I am a Consultant in Chemical Pathology and Metabolic medicine at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
After graduation in 2002, I received the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians diploma in 2006 and was elected as the Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2014.
My clinical interests are Cholesterol management (including statin intolerance and injectable cholesterol lowering treatment), Lipid disorders including inherited conditions affecting cholesterol like Familial Hypercholesterolaemia, cardiovascular risk assessment, Osteoporosis, Vitamin D deficiency and metabolic bone disease.
I am the Clinical lead for the lipid clinic and Familial Hypercholesterolaemia services at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, the Clinical Lead for Clinical Biochemistry, Immunology and Point of care testing at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
I am a clinical tutor at Hull University and involved in post graduate training in Chemical Pathology and metabolic medicine at Yorkshire and Humber deanery. My research interests are lipid disorders, lipid lowering treatments and Metabolic bone disorders and a principal investigator for multicentre cardiovascular outcome trials at the Trust.
