About me

I am a highly competent, organised and ambitious Clinical Audiologist with 9 years of experience and a post-graduate Master�s Degree from the University of Witwatersrand which I obtained after being awarded a prestigious masters fellowship from a renowned global organisation in TB/HIV research called SANTHE.
I am currently practicing full time as an audiologist at PINDROP HEARING in Central London. I previously practiced full time at a busy private ent practice in London, as well as in Johannesburg at a hospital based audiology practice. I maintain current knowledge by engaging in various courses and CPD activities. I strive to continually grow as an Individual. I enjoy developing and pioneering innovative ideas for practice and clinical growth.
Technically as well as clinically astute, I am very professional and hard working. I am resilient and dynamic in a work setting. I work well in a team. I have current skills and practice in; Audiological Testing of Adults and Paediatrics; ABR and AABR; ASSR; VEMPs; EcochG; DPOAE and TEOAE; Vestibular Assessment and Management for adults and paediatrics; Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) assessments; Ototoxicity Monitoring using Extended High Frequency Audiology (EHFA); Neonatal Hearing Screening; Tinnitus Assessment, Management and Counselling; Hearing Aid fittings and verification on three different softwares (Unit, Verifit & Auricle) using Real Ear Measures (REMS) and RECD for paediatrics; Wax removal using microsuctioning; Referrals of patients for cochlear Implant candidacy assessments, Excellent knowledge in sales and use of various hearing aid technology such as Phonak, Unitron, Signia/Sivantos, Oticon, Widex, Beltone, Starkey, and experience in fitting a variety of hearing aid styles such as BTE, RIC, ITE, ITC, CIC and CROS and Lyric; Expertise in use of patient management softwares NOAH 3 and 4; Cerumen Management using manual and syringing methods; Ear mould impression taking for moulds and custom hearing devices like swim plugs and noise bans; Excellent communication with and support for multiple referring Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) specialists across many hospitals, as well as other healthcare professionals in the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) setting. Excellent ability to write reports for healthcare professionals, and communication with colleagues.
