About me

As an accredited BABCP therapist, and having delivered most of my therapy for the NHS over 10 years, more recently within the private sector, I feel very lucky to have helped so many people. My last role for the NHS was as a Clinical Lead, I provided clinical leadership and support to service users and therapists, to ensure the effective delivery of psychological interventions.

I volunteered for 6 years as a ward activities practitioner in the NHS secondary care sector, I supported clients who were admitted to inpatient services, who often had a history of trauma and or specific mental health diagnosis. The use of relaxation, games, laughter, empathy and listening, really gave the patients non-judgemental and compassionate support creating a positive experience during their stay.

I Specialise in CBT, an evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders and depression, recommended by the National Institute of Health Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines. CBT's positive outcomes has been proven by research studies across many years. I Love CBT, and believe anyone could benefit.

I also deliver EMDR and I am a member for the EMDR association, this modality is known for supporting clients with trauma and PTSD.

I have completed specialist training for anyone suffering with long term conditions, and pain. I have also received specialist training on PostNatal Depression.

If you would like to arrange a session, I would love to help, please email me amy@clearmindcbt.org
