About me
I am an accredited BABCP Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with over 10 years of experience delivering psychological therapies within the NHS and private practice.
I specialise in supporting adults experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, and difficulties adjusting to life changes or long-term health conditions. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, providing a safe and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and understood.
My NHS career included working as a Clinical Lead, where I provided clinical leadership and support to therapists and service users to ensure the delivery of effective, evidence-based psychological interventions.
I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a highly effective, evidence-based treatment recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for anxiety disorders and depression. I am passionate about helping people understand the factors maintaining their difficulties and supporting them to develop practical skills and strategies to make lasting changes.
I also offer Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and am a member of the EMDR Association UK. EMDR is an effective treatment for trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), helping individuals process difficult experiences and move forward with their lives.
In addition, I have completed specialist training in supporting people living with long-term health conditions, chronic pain, and postnatal depression.
Alongside my professional roles, I volunteered for six years within NHS inpatient services supporting individuals with complex mental health difficulties and experiences of trauma. This experience strengthened my belief in the importance of empathy, compassion, and creating a positive therapeutic relationship.
Seeking therapy can feel like a significant step, and finding the right therapist is important. I aim to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where we can work together towards your goals and improve your wellbeing.
