About me

I am a clinical psychologist specialising in long term physical health conditions such as chronic pain, fatigue, diabetes, long covid, fibromyalgia, IBS, respiratory conditions, neurological conditions and heart conditions. I also specialise in perinatal wellbeing, supporting both mums and dads throughout the conception, pregnancy, birth and new parents stages. Further, I offer support for general mental health difficulties such as anger, low mood, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem and adjustment issues as well as supporting with staff and student wellbeing.

I strive to offer a warm, compassionate and empathic space to explore difficulties from and to build on strengths. I seek to be collaborative - ensuring that the patient leads the pace, content and focus of sessions, and respecting the knowledge, skills and experiences that the patient brings with them to therapy.

Sessions provide a reflective and emotional processing space, as well as a skills-building space. They are based on a thorough understanding and assessment of the patients needs - building a thorough understanding of the factors that may have made the patient more vulnerable to developing difficulties, and the factors that may be contributing to or maintaining difficulties.

I draw from a number of different models and approaches, including individual, family and community psychology approaches. This helps us to think more broadly about the many factors that influence our health and wellbeing - including the world around us and our relationships - and helps us to address the wider factors that can contribute to health and wellbeing.
