About me
Mr Adams graduated from Queen's University, Belfast in 2007 and subsequently undertook foundation training & basic surgical training across all of Northern Ireland's major teaching hospitals.
In 2016 he was admitted to the higher surgical training programme for otolaryngology (ENT). Throughout his higher training he quickly developed a keen interest in the management of complex tumours of the head & neck and thyroid.
In 2022 he returned to Melbourne to undertake a one year fellowship in advanced head & neck and thyroid oncologic surgery at Monash Health, globally recognised as a leading world centre for the management of these conditions.
In 2023 he was appointed as a consultant in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. He is a core member of the Northern Ireland regional MDTs (tumour boards) for both head & neck cancer and thyroid cancer.
He is a member of ENTUK, the UK's representative body for ENT surgeons, as well as various other national & international societies for the management of cancer of the head & neck. He also has a keen interest in benign growths of the salivary glands & thyroid, as well as maintaining a practice in general ENT.
