About me

Thank you checking out my profile - I'm an accredited BABCP Cognitive & Behavioural Psychotherapist providing psychological assessment and treatment to match individual needs. No single approach is the right one for every person, which is why I have been committed to train in a range of psychological therapies.

I have a small Private Practice where I offer online and in some circumstances, in-person therapy sessions. My main therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Inter-Personal Therapy (IPT) which are all evidence-based approaches to help with a range of mental health problems.

Just so you're aware, I also work part time as a CBT therapist & CBT supervisor at Newcastle University (NU) in their Psychological Therapies, Research & Training Clinic and, I am also an Academic Tutor & Module Lead on the Post Graduate CBT Diploma programme at NU.

Prior to my current positions, I have extensive mental health experience since 2007 where I have worked in several NHS Primary Healthcare Trusts, educational settings & in the voluntary sector.
