About me

Life can be a lot and sometimes hard to handle and often we are led to a place where the stresses and strains of our experiences can be overwhelming and confusing to say the least.
I provide a safe environment where there will be no judgments as we explore the process of therapy together.

In therapy, we will work together using therapeutic methods that work for you. We will aim to gain an insight into your experiences to understand, work through and find a better way of managing them. I will work with understanding your needs and use therapy to help you in a personalised way, acknowledging that everyone is different and that one size does not fit all.

I work using evidence based CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) which explores the relationship between what we do, think and feel and allowing you to make those connections to bring about helpful changes and seeing the differences this makes to your everyday life. These changes will bring about a more fruitful and fulfilling future and help you to identify ways of handling situations and future difficulties.

I have been working as a therapist for almost 20 years, the majority of this within NHS therapy services as a senior therapist and supervisor.

I have extensive experience with helping people through their difficulties and seeing a shift in their lives by overcoming their emotional distress. It may be a life event such as a relationship ending, bereavement or life transitions that have bought you to seek help. It could be a lifelong difficulty, such as panic attacks, social anxiety or OCD. For some, it is more of an emotion that is harder to pinpoint such as feeling down, depressed, stuck in a rut or just feeling not yourself but unsure of why.
Whatever it is, therapy can explore and make sense of it all and help you to find a way out of where you find yourself in this present moment.

I am available for therapy sessions face to face, online via video or via telephone.
