About me
Miss Kaajal Barot qualified from St George's Hospital Medical school in London in 2006, having previously gained her BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry with microbiology. She subsequently completed her postgraduate training in the North West Thames region. She undertook an honorary contract in scanning at Kings College hospital where she was involved in recruiting for groundbreaking studies such as the PRISM trial.
Miss Barot has been a substantive NHS consultant since 2018 working at Frimley Health NHS trust. She has a specialist interest in early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology complications but also covers a variety of gynaecological issues including pelvic pain, heavy or irregular periods, menopause and fertility concerns.
Miss Barot is deeply invested in education and as part of her role as college tutor is responsible for overseeing doctors in training including their wellbeing, educational needs and annual appraisal for the Thames Valley Deanery.
Miss Barot keeps up to date and has presented on a variety of topics (both oral and poster presentations) at the Annual Early Pregnancy Units conference.
Outside of work, Miss Barot is kept busy with her young family and enjoys travel, reading and running
