About me

Hi, I�m Richard. I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and I work with a range of people who have had challenging moments in their lives. My specialties include supporting people who live with chronic health conditions or life changing injuries. I have worked in the NHS for over 10 years, working with patients in a wide range of context such as: Diabetes,Stem Cell Transplant, Cancer, Plastic and Orthopaedic surgery, Amputee and Palliative care.

I have seen a range of issues including anxiety, low mood and depression, loss, grief and trauma. I also work with LGBTQ and neurodivergent people.

My Qualifications include: a BSc ( Hons) in Psychology, MSc Health Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I have also had additional trainings in EMDR, Narrative therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Surgical Assessment.

I have expertise in evidence based approaches to support people with the difficulties they face. The models I work with include; CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Narrative Therapy. I am trained in assessing what you are going through and how best to tailor therapy to meet your needs.

My underlying approach is a compassionate, strength focused approach therapy to help you grow. If you find yourself struggling to make sense of things, lost in grief or trauma or simply feel stuck. I may be able to help you.
