About me

Mandala Counselling & Psychotherapy offers a quiet, comfortable and private space where individuals and couples can speak openly and be met with care, respect and thoughtful attention.
I aim to provide a calm, supportive environment where you can explore whatever is troubling you whether this feels clearly defined or hard to put into words. My approach is collaborative and responsive, shaped around you rather than a fixed agenda. I work at a pace that feels right, helping you develop understanding, clarity and resilience in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I offer counselling and psychotherapy for both individuals and couples.
Mandala is located on the edge of Dartmoor in a peaceful rural setting, just a few minutes from the A38. I work with clients from Plymouth, Ivybridge, Exeter, Cornwall and surrounding areas. Free parking is available, with disabled access and facilities.

Areas of interest

Pluralistic and integrative psychotherapy:
I work pluralistically, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to help clients make sense of difficulties, move forward, or find a new direction. My work is flexible, tailored and respectful of individuality, supporting clients to access their own insight, strength and understanding.
Core therapeutic values:
Person-centred and relational principles underpin my work, with an emphasis on collaboration, emotional safety and trust.
Approaches and methods used:
CBT; MBCT; mindfulness and meditation; insight-oriented and solution-focused work; Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed approaches; compassion-focused and compassionate inquiry work; psychodynamic exploration; body-based tools; inner child work; couples communication tools; Advanced Flash Technique (from EMDR) for processing trauma and distressing memories.
Mode of delivery:
I work mainly in person, with online appointments also available.
