About me

Mr Robati is an esteemed Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant specialising in complex hip and knee surgeries and sports injuries. These include, but are not limited to: hip and knee replacements (via Small Scar Surgery); minimal access ACL reconstructions; keyhole knee surgery; hamstring repairs and targeted joint injections.

Mr Robati has trained both Nationally and Internationally. He has worked with some of the best trainers in the country in numerous hospitals in the South of England and London as well as in the renowned North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Centre (NSOSC) in Australia. He is also a qualified engineer, with a particular interest in implant design and material composition.

Mr Robati has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and been awarded numerous awards and grants for furthering orthopaedic research. He has authored an orthopaedic chapter of a surgical textbook and is a Clinical Lecturer and orthopaedic module lead on the Surgical Sciences BSc at Kings College London Medical School. He is also an award-winning teacher of junior doctors.

Mr Robati strongly believes that surgery should be held off until all nonoperative measures have been considered, liaising closely with physiotherapists and other allied health professionals. He champions enhanced recovery for his patients and is an advocate for day case hip/knee replacement surgery in appropriate patients. This is by using the latest in minimally invasive techniques (via Small Scar Surgery) and adopting the enhanced recovery programme.

In his spare time, Mr Robati is an accomplished musician composing his own music as well as a keen golfer and tennis enthusiast. He also enjoys home improvement DIY projects, especially renovating old Victorian town houses.
