About me

Dr Carter offers specialist psychological therapy services for adults and young adults (17+years old). She has over 12 years experience working within mental health services within the NHS and has extensive experience supporting individuals experiencing a range of challenges. These have included; low mood, anxiety, stress/burn-out, difficulties regulating emotions, self-criticism, difficulties within relationships, traumatic experiences. Dr Carter has a keen interest in the mind-body link and understanding the relationship between neuroscience (brain/body function) and our thoughts, feelings and behaviour. In addition to her private practice, she also works within a neuropsychological rehabilitation service, providing expertise to adults living with a brain injury.

Dr Carter offers online and face to face therapy appointments which are provided in a safe, confidential and secure space. Dr Carter is very flexible in her approach and she is happy to consider working in ways that suit you.
