About me

Hello, my name is Susie. I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, and a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society, having completed a Clinical Doctorate as well as a PhD. I have worked in different mental health settings, including the NHS, academia, and the third sector for over 10 years.

People reach out to me during periods of high stress, uncertainty, or when life feels overwhelming. Often, they may find it difficult to cope and may be unsure about what may come next. They may navigate a range of intense emotions, such as anger, anxiety, worry, sadness or loneliness, or they may feel cut off or detached - or it may be a mix of these. I am committed to providing a safe space for us to explore and make sense of your experiences together, and to equip you with strategies to make meaningful and effective changes that empower you to live life your way.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I am trained in a number of different evidence-based approaches that allow me to offer short-term work of a few sessions to longer term work depending on your needs, values and goals. Many of the people that come to see me are neurodivergent, and I am passionate about supporting people in making sense of what this means for them.

I know that starting therapy takes courage, and I am here to support you every step of the way. My clients say that they value working with me because I am straight-forward, open and warm, with a dry sense of humour, which allows them to explore their difficutlies in a non-judgemental space.
