About me

I have 20+ years' experience working with clients who have complex mental health needs including those who are highly sensitive and experience their emotions more intensely than the average person. I support clients who present with a wide range of interpersonal and relationship difficulties, emotion regulation disorders such as BPD, childhood abuse, bereavement and loss, eating disorders, depression and anxiety and suicidal and self-harming behaviours by offering a thorough assessment of your life history as well as identifying current needs and goals. I am able to offer both short-term and long-term therapy depending on your level of needs identified at the assessment stage.

I am a BACP-registered accredited psychotherapist, MBT therapist, DBT therapist + supervisor. My core training was in psychodynamic counselling. I then continued my professional development in cognitive, mentalization + dialectical-based therapies. I have a specific expertise in personality disorders, primarily BPD. I am also interested in attachment theory and its relevance to how some of our current challenges can arise from early relationships and the quality of care we received especially since these difficulties can become ingrained over time. I am aware that the process of addressing these difficulties can take time to develop trust in building a therapeutic relationship with you and for change to occur.
