About me

I work primarily in a Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service in the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist. I have past experience of working in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and also in third sector organisations alongside mental health services.

I have supported clients with a variety of difficulties such as trauma, anxiety, depression, postpartum psychosis, perinatal loss, and relationship difficulties. My passion lies in perinatal mental health, focusing on the intricate dance of the parent-infant relationship. I aim to help parents?to navigate the complexities of parenthood.

I aim to offer compassion, kindness, curiosity, and a non-judgemental approach. I am dedicated to fostering a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment, empowering individuals to explore challenges, consider changes, and work towards their personal goals. You can find out more about me at my website www.perinatalsanctuary.co.uk

Areas of interest

I work with adults in the perinatal period. This ranges from difficulties with conception, pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. I work with the whole family.

My approach is deeply personal, adapting to the unique needs of each individual. The journey starts with a comprehensive assessment, exploring strengths, difficulties, and personal history. Together, we create a formulation to make sense of challenges. Drawing from a range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Narrative Therapy ideas (ANT), and Circle of Security Parenting Intervention. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing EMDR.

Beyond individual and group therapy, I support health professionals through supervision and contribute to the field with training sessions on perinatal anxiety, post-natal depression, attachment theory, and intrusive thoughts.
