About me

Dr Mohamed Elriedy is a Consultant Anaesthetist at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton and Director of Simulation at the University of Nottingham Medical School.
He trained in the West Midlands and completed further specialist training in obstetric anaesthesia and perioperative care.
Dr. Elriedy is specialised in regional anaesthesia and holds the prestigious European Diploma of Regional Anaesthesia (EDRA).

He has extensive experience in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthetic techniques for perioperative pain management and enhanced recovery, and is actively involved in teaching and faculty development in regional anaesthesia at both local and national levelsDr Elriedy is passionate about patient safety and improving healthcare through education. He has over 10 years of experience in simulation training, helping doctors and healthcare professionals develop the skills they need to provide safe, high-quality care.
He is also involved in national roles with the Royal College of Anaesthetists and works on projects with NHS England to bring innovative technologies, such as simulation and extended reality, into training and patient care.
