About me
I am a Consultant General and Colorectal surgeon based in West Suffolk at the St Edmunds Hospital and also at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
I qualified from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School in London and my postgraduate career has largely been based in East Anglia. After undertaking a postgraduate Doctorate in Medicine, I completed my higher surgical training on the East of England training rotation. This culminated in appointment as a Consultant in Bury St Edmunds in 2015.
I investigate and treat all aspects of lower gastrointestinal diseases, utilising minimally invasive methods where at all possible.
As an experienced general surgeon, I also offer treatment for abdominal wall and groin hernias, including the use of local anaesthesia for groin hernias in selected patients.
Areas of interest
Colorectal cancer; diverticular disease / diverticulitis; haemorrhoids / piles; anal fissure and fistulas; pilonidal sinus disease; inguinal and femoral hernias; umbilical and paraumbilical hernias; incisional hernias; laparoscopy; colonoscopy; rectal prolapse surgery
