About me

Mr. Wee Sim Khor is a dual fellowship trained Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon. His NHS practice with Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is based at Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital. Within his NHS practice, his work includes skin cancer, reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery.

Mr. Khor graduated from the University of Bristol with MB ChB (Hons) in 2012. His specialty training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery was undertaken in the North West of England. He developed his subspecialty interest in Hand Surgery as the nationally appointed Advanced Training fellow at the Leeds Hand Unit. He then went on to undertake the hand fellowship at the Sheffield Hand Centre. His comprehensive hand surgery training allows him to deliver the full spectrum of hand surgery encompassing Plastic and Orthopaedic procedures. He holds the European Diploma in Hand Surgery.

He has published in peer reviewed journals within the field of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery. He has also co-authored book chapters and national guidelines in the field of Hand Surgery.

Skin cancer including removal of cyst, excision of benign lesion, excision of skin cancer, mole removal, skin graft, local flap.

Small joint arthritis - joint fusions, joint replacements (silastic and thumb base CMC joint arthroplasty), trapeziectomy, ligament reconstruction (skier's thumb)

Hand fractures - acute injuries and revision surgery

Nerve compression - carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel

Dupuytrens - primary and revision surgery

Tendon disorders - trigger finger, De Quervain's tenosynovitis, tendon ruptures (jersey finger), revision tendon surgery

Soft tissue and tumours - ganglions, vascular malformations, mucous cysts
