About me

With a foundational academic journey that includes a First Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a Masters degree in Psychology (MRes), and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology, my educational path has been deeply rooted in understanding the complexities of the human mind. My academic pursuits culminated in a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, preparing me extensively for my current role.

As a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and one of the few Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologists working in a secondary CAMHS service, I bring a specialised skill set to my practice. I have extensive experience managing a wide spectrum of psychopathologies and a comprehensive understanding of child development. My approach is integrative, blending various therapeutic methods to tailor interventions that are both effective and empathetic, aimed at improving the mental well-being of young clients.

I recognise that talking therapies can feel intrusive and intense, particularly for adolescents. In my practice, I prioritise creating a relaxed and friendly environment that respects the personal space and boundaries necessary for young people to feel comfortable and secure. By maintaining an informal approach, I aim to foster a trusting relationship that encourages openness and facilitates the therapeutic process. This sensitivity to the unique needs of adolescents not only supports their comfort but also enhances the effectiveness of our sessions together.
