About me
Dr Thomas Simpson trained at Cambridge University before completing his Medical Degree at Guy's, King's & St Thomas' Medical school, graduating with distinction in 2006.
Since then he has gone on to develop a strong interest in respiratory medicine, with publications covering many aspects of Respiratory Disease as well as significant clinical time spent working at the Tertiary Respiratory centres at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals and King's College Hospital.
He has developed particular special interests in Interstitial Lung Disease & Sarcoidosis, with ongoing significant clinical and research interests in these areas.
He has received awards throughout his career for his innovative approach to medicine and medical education in particular, and is particularly well regarded for his ability to communicate complex medical diagnoses and issues into understandable, jargon-free speech for his patients and their relatives or carers.
He currently works at Lewisham Hospital as an NHS consultant.
Areas of interest
Adult patients with general respiratory issues. Particular areas of specialist interest for me include interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis and lung cancer diagnosis but I am happy to see patients with any respiratroy condition.
