About me
I'm an Interventional Cardiologist at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital specialising in coronary and structural intervention, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool.
At Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital I see general cardiology patients in my clinic, including referrals for chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations and collapse.
I have a special interest in refractory angina this means angina pain that is proving difficult to control with medicines, stents or bypass surgery. I undertake microcirculatory assessments, as well as deploying Coronary Sinus Reducer devices a newer technique to treat angina. I have also recently begun treating resistant high blood pressure through a new technique called renal denervation. This has been shown to reduce blood pressure in patients where medications haven't helped.
Areas of interest
Angina; Percutaneous Coronary Intervention; Hypertension; Refractory (difficult to treat) angina
