About me
Ajay Lamba has delivered psychotherapy within NHS services and private practice, which has provided a wealth of experience with people from diverse backgrounds and all age groups. His academic and work career has been focused on helping people achieve their goals of recovery by relieving symptoms of depression and anxiety, from mild to severe psychological difficulties.
During treatment Mr Lamba predominantly uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and calls upon a number of complementary psychotherapeutic techniques such as mindfulness, compassion-focussed therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, to provide his clients with a range of tools to help them make sense of their difficulties and then for us to work together in overcoming their distress.
The initial focus will be on the therapeutic relationship to ensure that we reach a shared understanding of difficulties before embarking on strategies and interventions to help support overall wellbeing. Treatment is delivered on a short and long-term basis. Contact me for a chat and we can discuss how I can help support you to make positive changes.
