About me

Eilidh is an experienced and compassionate Educational Psychologist with over 28 years' experience working with children, young people and adults. Throughout her career, she has supported individuals with a wide range of emotional, psychological and additional support needs, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, bereavement and loss, relational and attachment difficulties, school attendance difficulties, bullying, learning difficulties and neurodevelopmental differences including autism and ADHD.

Eilidh is an accredited EMDR Europe Practitioner and an experienced EMDR therapist, qualified to work with children, adolescents and adults. She has undertaken extensive additional training in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and the Neurosequential Model of Education and Therapeutics (NME/NMT).

Eilidh has particular experience supporting individuals who have experienced developmental, complex, relational or single-event trauma. She takes a compassionate, neuroaffirmative and trauma-informed approach, recognising the importance of understanding each person's individual experiences, strengths and needs.

When working with children and young people, Eilidh uses a creative and playful approach to help them feel safe, understood and able to engage with therapy. She draws on the principles of P.A.C.E. � Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy � to support children and young people to understand difficult emotions and experiences, develop a stronger sense of identity and build more positive ways of coping.

Eilidh is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is also an accredited member of the EMDR UK Association.
