About me
Miss Lana Fu is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with training and expertise in the medical and surgical treatment of Cornea and External Eye disease.
She completed 18 months of advanced subspecialist training (TSC & fellowship) in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, and expanded her interest in Corneal disease with a further 2 years as Senior Cornea Fellow at King's College Hospital, London. She was a substantive Consultant Ophthalmologist at King's College Hospital, prior to joining East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust in 2024.
Lana has an interest in translational clinical research, she has published and peer reviews in her areas of clinical interest. During her undergraduate training, she obtained funding from the BUPA Foundation to investigate the psychological impact of facial disfigurement. She has presented and won prizes at national and international meetings, including on cataract surgery training at ESCRS, and on outcomes of paediatric corneal collagen crosslinking at BIPOSA.
