Girish provides a full clinical programme in dermatology. Since 2005, he has specialised in the management of skin cancer and he was appointed as the Clinical Lead for the West of Scotland skin cancer network. He has been a member of the National Cancer Research Institute skin cancer group for several years and is also a member of the East of Scotland skin cancer network.
Girish has specialist interests in the management of skin cancer, mole screening, topical therapy of pre-cancerous skin conditions, tele-dermatology ad the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in dermatology.
He has published more than 90 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and several chapters, including a chapter on skin cancer in the international Textbook of Dermatology. In 2015, he was appointed Honorary Clinical Associate Professor by the University of Glasgow and is a Senior Clinical Lecturer for the University of Edinburgh.
He has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences and is also on the advisory board of several companies.
