About me

Mirka, an Obstetrics and Gynaecology consultant with 15+ years of experience, specializes in evidence-based holistic care. Her focus is on supporting, educating, and empowering women to understand treatment options for optimized health, quality of life, and happiness.

Trained in Wales, she developed a passion for managing non-cancerous gynaecological problems and obtained an advanced certificate in the management of Benign Gynaecological conditions. She believes perimenopausal and postmenopausal health is of prime importance. Mirka has completed Advanced Menopause Specialist certification with British Menopause Society. She advises on complex perimenopausal and menopausal issues, prescribes HRT inculding testosterone. To support her clinical practice, she obtained an ultrasound assessment proficiency certificate by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. To be able to provide a well-rounded care for women, she acquired a diploma in Family planning and sexual health.

Within her NHS organization, Mirka holds the role of Simulation Education Lead for Gynaecology. Co-founder of GEMS (Gynaecological Emergencies Multidisciplinary Simulation) training, she's accredited by the Association for Simulation Practice in Healthcare, an author of MRCOG exam revision books, and a registered trainer for Early Pregnancy and Benign Gynaecological Disease modules. She won the welsh award for the Trainer of The Year 2023.

Dr Slavska typically sees women with the following problems: peri-menopause, menopause, fibroids, menstrual irregularities, abnormal menstrual bleeding, primary ovarian insufficiency (POI), premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
