About me
Mr Muntasser offers patient-centred ophthalmic care in the premises of St Paul's Eye Unit taking advantage of the advanced equipement such as Heidelberg Engineering OCT devices, Zeiss Humphrey's Visual field test machines thus enabling him to provide best possible service for patients seeking general ophthalmic, Glaucoma and Cataract care.
Mr Muntasser specialises in clinical diagnosis and management of Glaucoma, cataract and general ophthalmic conditions. He is a specialist in glaucoma diagnostic imaging, medical and surgical treatment of Glaucoma as well as ocular surface disease in Glaucoma.
Mr Muntasser graduated from the University of Glasgow, and after dedicating time for research to obtain a masters degree from UCL, he completed his ophthalmic training in east of England including specialist training in Glaucoma at Cambridge University Hosptial, and took a further fellowship in glaucoma and advanced cataract surgery at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, this equiped him to manage routine and complex adult glaucoma care and offer all medical, laser and surgical options for his patients.
In an endeavour to further his knowledge, he visited Professor Ike Ahmed, world leading Glaucoma expert in Toronto Canada as part of an observership.
This experience as well as constantly developing his knowledge and learning, Mr Muntasser is able to provide a holistic patient care for his glaucoma patients where they are at the centre of their care.
