About me
Mr Velineni is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon based in Edinburgh. His NHS base is based at the Edinburgh Vascular Service in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he was appointed in 2021. He has interests in the generality of Vascular Surgery but particularly enjoys treating carotid artery disease (carotid endarterectomy), superficial venous disease (varicose veins), restoring blood flow to legs (arterial bypass) and creating fistulae for haemodialysis (renal access).
His undergraduate training was in London and his surgical training commenced in the South West of England before commencing higher training in Scotland in Vascular Surgery training in Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
He undertook research at Imperial College London was awarded a PhD in Venous Disease in 2018. He obtained the FRCS in Vascular Surgery in 2019 and was awarded a CCT in Vascular Surgery in 2020.
He is married to a nurse and lives in Edinburgh with his wife and children. He is an football fan supporting Tottenham Hotspur and enjoys motorsport and cycling.
