About me
I'm an experienced psychotherapist providing compassionate support for adults, young people, and children. My approach is guided by your unique needs and goals, drawing on trauma-informed principles while addressing a wide range of emotional, relational, and personal challenges. I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, deepen self-understanding, and work toward meaningful change and healing.
With professional experience in the NHS, charity sector, and Local Authorities, I support individuals through a wide range of challengesfrom complex trauma, anxiety and depression, to relationship struggles and sexual well-being. I hold an Advanced Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, a Postgraduate Certificate in Low-Intensity Psychological Interventions, a CPCAB Certificate in Counselling Children, a Master's degree in Contemporary Psychosexual Therapy, and a Diploma in Clinical Supervision. Over the years, I have undertaken various trainings that have enhanced my qualifications and refined my skills, including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Building Underdeveloped Sensorimotor Systems, Therapeutic Life Story Work, and Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression, among others.
I specialise in working with complex and developmental trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, adoption, as well as with anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, relationship and intimacy difficulties, and issues related to self-esteem. My approach is integrative and relational, grounded in trauma theory and attachment-based practice. I draw on Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), which focuses on healing relational trauma through connection and safety. I also integrate Polyvagal Theory to help clients understand their nervous system and develop skills for emotional regulation. Additionally, I utilise the BUSS model (Building Underdeveloped Sensorimotor Systems) to support foundational development in those affected by early trauma. With children and young people, I use developmentally appropriate, play-based and relational approaches, informed by child development theory and attachment-focused interventions.
Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I offer warmth and compassion through understanding your lived experiences.
Sessions are available both in person and online. If you're curious about working together, you're welcome to get in touch with me to arrange an initial conversation.
