About me

The world that we live in can often promote and amplify emotional difficulties, with a variety of demands experienced at any given time. Jamie provides a secure and safe environment to explore the above for each individual, whilst showing compassion, warmth and empathy, believing the relationship built within the therapy room provides the platform required to promote change.

Jamie is a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT), with a background working within both the NHS and private practice over the past 5 years, with more than 10 years experience working in a variety of mental health services in different roles. Over this period of time, Jamie has extensive experience working with a wide range of difficulties such as depression; self-esteem based difficulties; GAD; illness anxiety; social anxiety; OCD; PTSD. Through further training he has acquired skills in Compassion Focus Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to allow for a more flexible and individualised approach alongside CBT.
