About me
I believe that opening up and sharing your concerns with someone who is trained to listen and respond to you, is the first step in working through them. While counselling can't remove the challenging experiences that you're facing, it can help to empower you so you can move through them with strength and purpose.
I take a pluralistic, integrative approach to therapy, which means I don't think there is one 'best' therapy that fits all. Instead we will work collaboratively on the preferences and goals that are important to you. This could include exploring experiences from the past that feel unresolved, or issues that concern you about the present or future. This might also include any thoughts or feelings that arise in the moment.
Alongside seeing clients in my private practice, I have worked as a Specialist Mentor for students in higher education, for an Employee Assistance Programme that provides counselling for people in the workplace and for a non-profit that offers counselling to young people and adolescents.
Prior to becoming a counsellor I had several years experience working in special educational needs settings. Neurodivergent clients may find this background enhances their experience of counselling.
