About me
Mr Ross Fawdington is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist expertise in hand and wrist conditions. Known for his calm, compassionate approach, he provides clear, personalised care that helps patients return to work, sport, and daily life with confidence.
He treats a full range of hand and wrist problems including carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, fractures, tendon injuries, trigger finger, ganglions, and Dupuytren's disease. Mr Fawdington offers both surgical and non-surgical treatment options (e.g. splints, injections) based on the latest evidence, taking the time to explain every step and involve patients in decisions about their care.
He trained at the University of Manchester before joining the prestigious Oswestry orthopaedic training programme. He completed two advanced fellowships: one in ortho-plastic complex trauma, and another in hand surgery via the national Training Interface Group scheme. He is one of a small number of UK surgeons to hold a Master's degree in Hand Surgery and passed this with a Merit grade.
Mr Fawdington has received several national accolades, including the Stack Travelling Fellowship from the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, which enabled further training at world-renowned centres such as the Mayo Clinic and the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York. He has also held senior leadership roles, including leading the orthopaedic department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
Appointments are available quickly for both insured and self-paying patients.
