About me

Mr Matthew Jones has worked as a consultant orthopaedic hand & wrist surgeon at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust since 2016. He also provides expert diagnosis and treatment of conditions exclusively affecting the hand & wrist at The Meriden Hospital in Coventry.

Mr Jones graduated from the University of Sheffield Medical School with Honours in 2003, achieving a distinction in his final examinations. He became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England ?in 2006 and continued to train in orthopaedic surgery in the Nottingham area. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012 and undertook specialist fellowship training in Sheffield and Chesterfield. He was awarded a travelling fellowship to three prestigious hand surgery centres in the USA: The Mayo Clinic, The Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center and The Kleinert Kutz Hand Center. He is a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand.
