I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Ramsay Fitzwilliam Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
I have been an ophthalmic surgeon since I started specialist training in 1992. I worked as a full-time consultant (in vitreoretinal surgery and general ophthalmology) at the main NHS hospitals in Peterborough and Stamford from 2001 to 2015, leaving to work part-time due to becoming a single parent. Since then I have continued to work at the Fitzwilliam Hospital in Peterborough, in general private practice with a focus on cataract surgery (both private and NHS). Since 2017 I have also worked as a part-time (long-term locum) consultant at Lincoln County Hospital, where most of my work is specialist vitreoretinal surgery.
As of Autumn 2023 able to offer vitreoretinal surgery at The Stoneygate Eye Hospital in Leicester.
I am not currently able to offer retinal surgery at the Fitzwilliam as we are not equipped for this; we do however offer a full diagnostic service.
