About me

I am a Senior Counselling Psychologist and MBT Accredited Practitioner with a background in secondary care in the NHS and over 10 years' experience offering psychological therapy to clients presenting with a range of issues.
My approach to therapy is warm, empathic, and genuine. It is important to me to create a space that feels safe, and where my clients feel heard and understood. Clients come to me for an initial assessment or to gain insight into what troubles them and why, to work on specific issues or to achieve particular goals and therapy outcomes.
My core training was in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), person-centred therapy and psychodynamic therapy. I am also trained in Compassion Focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, MBT, mindfulness-based approaches, and Meaning Reconstruction Therapy for grief. For each client, the approach is tailored to the individual's situation and client's goals and jointly agreed.
