I work as an integrative psychotherapist for individuals and couples since 1998. I have extensive experience in the voluntary sector and NHS working with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
I am also trained in Object Relations, Systemic & Family Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, Group work and Clinical Supervision.
Over the last 25 years, I have had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life. In my practice, I draw upon a number of different approaches to psychotherapy depending on the challenges that individual experiences at the time of the meeting. However, my approach to therapy is mainly based on believing in the potential of the healing relationship between the client and the therapist. I have come to learn that a genuine contact between the client and the therapist is the most fertile ground for Change. I provide a non-judgmental and confidential space, for the client to feel safe, and supported in the co-created process of therapy.
In our current existence, we all go through periods when life seems to lose its meaning. We may feel out of touch with ourselves and others. Memories from past experience, patterns of relating to others, painful events in the present, and worries about the future, can sometimes overwhelm to make it difficult to cope with everyday life. A therapeutic relationship through dialogue can facilitate an environment for self awareness, self acceptance and compassion towards ourselves and others. After all we all want to live our lives more fully and realize our full potential.
