About me

With a deep-rooted passion for helping individuals overcome personal challenges, I began my career as a Mental Health Nurse, supporting people in substance misuse services before working in general psychiatry, where I treated a wide range of mental health conditions. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working in diverse settings, including the NHS, where I served as a Senior CBT Therapist working with a variety of mental health difficulties, charities as a Case Manager in the field of substance misuse, and the Private Sector as Service Manager for the Adolescent Eating Disorder Day Care Service at the Priory. I've also held roles as a Senior Staff Nurse on a General Psychiatric Ward, Senior CBT Therapist for One Bright, and most recently as the Clinical Lead for Adults and Adolescents with Eating Disorders at Orri.

Currently, I am a CBT Therapist in practice, a Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at Bolton University and the Director of a private therapy service that offers Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Counselling. Working closely with clients is my passion, and I am committed to walking alongside each person on their journey toward mental and physical wellness.

In addition to my practical experience, I hold an MSc in Clinical Science Obesity & Weight Management, a PGDip in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy, and a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing. I am also a certified 250-hour yoga teacher, which complements my therapeutic approach. I am also trained in both Schema Therapy and DBT, allowing me to offer a range of evidence-based interventions tailored to each individual's needs. Shortly, I'll begin my PhD studies, further enhancing my expertise in this field.

I strongly believe that mental and physical health are interconnected, and my approach is rooted in supporting recovery across all aspects of well-being. Whether through CBT, DBT, or holistic therapies, I am dedicated to empowering individuals to reclaim their lives and achieve their goals
