About me
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, with practices across Surrey and Sussex. I am a high-volume hip and knee replacement surgeon, with consistently excellent outcomes, high patient satisfaction, and strong independent patient reviews.
If you are struggling with hip pain or knee pain, particularly due to arthritis, I offer expert assessment and clear, honest advice on the most effective treatment optionsincluding whether surgery is appropriate and when. Many of my patients come to see me specifically as a hip replacement specialist or knee replacement surgeon, often after trying other treatments without success.
I specialise in:
Total hip replacement
Total knee replacement
Partial (unicompartmental) knee replacement
Robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement
Custom implant knee replacement
Revision hip replacement
Revision knee replacement
I treat both routine and complex cases and regularly receive referrals for failed or painful joint replacements, offering advanced solutions where previous treatments have not worked.
What sets my practice apart is a highly personalised, patient-centred approach. I take time to understand your symptoms, lifestyle, and goals, and tailor treatment specifically to you. I use advanced techniques, including robotic-assisted surgery and customised implants, to improve accuracy, recovery, and long-term results.
I trained at Imperial College London and completed specialist orthopaedic training across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, followed by advanced fellowship training at Wrightington Hospitalan internationally recognised centre and the birthplace of modern hip and knee replacement surgery. This experience allows me to manage both straightforward and highly complex joint problems with confidence.
I understand that considering surgery can feel like a big step. My focus is on providing clear explanations, honest recommendations, and reassurance at every stage, so you can make the right decision for you. From your first consultation through to recovery, my aim is to ensure you feel informed, supported, and confident in your care.
