Miss Jennifer Henderson Darrien is an experienced Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) Surgeon, and General Surgeon, offering specialist care for patients seeking gallbladder removal, hernia repair, and benign UGI procedures. She is committed to delivering safe, evidence?based surgical treatment with a personalised, compassionate approach.
Jennifer graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2003, completing extensive postgraduate surgical training in General Surgery, Laparoscopic (Keyhole) Surgery, Benign Biliary Surgery, and Upper GI Surgery across Scotland's leading teaching hospitals in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
She went on to complete a prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England�approved Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at University College London Hospital (UCLH) and NHS Northumbria, gaining advanced expertise in primary and revisional bariatric surgery.
Miss Darrien is the associate medical director of Phoenix Health, independent provider of bariatric surgical services to NHS and private patients.
In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer is passionate about education and mentorship, training the next generation of surgeons at Phoenix Health and providing guidance to allied healthcare professionals. Her dedication to advancing the field of bariatric surgery and her commitment to patient care are evident in her extensive contributions to both NHS and private practice.
