About me

Dr Robbie McNeil is a Consultant in Haematology and has experience in assessing and treating patients with a range of blood disorders.

He qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2006 having also completed a 2 year intercalated degree in Immunology. During his postgraduate training in the West of Scotland he worked in a range of both city and district general hospitals gaining broad medical experience before specialising in Haematology.

He completed his training in 2015 and was a consultant at St Johns Hospital in Livingston before moving to his current post at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in 2020 where he is currently consultant haematologist and Clinical Director for Laboratories and Radiology. He has undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience and is also a principal investigator for haematology clinical trials in Forth Valley.

In 2020 he was appointed as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow.

He has a broad clinical interest in clinical and laboratory haematology and is an expert in the often complex nature of diagnosis in haematology.

His clinic at Kings Park Hospital has a focus on providing outpatient assessment and clinical opinions for patients in addition to consultant follow up where necessary to enable good continuity of care.
