About me

Dr Prakash Abraham is a highly experienced Consultant Endocrinologist who has been providing specialised care at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for more than 20 years. His expertise encompasses various areas of Endocrinology, including Pituitary, Adrenal, Thyroid, Parathyroid, Transition, and Reproductive Endocrinology.

One of Dr Abraham's particular interests is clinical thyroid disease and he has had active involvement in the British Thyroid Association, where he served on the executive committee for eight years. During this time, he held significant positions such as Assistant Secretary, Secretary, and Treasurer. Dr. Abraham's contributions to Clinical Endocrinology as a member of the editorial board have also strengthened his expertise.

Dr Abraham has been actively engaged in both commercial and academic clinical trials in Aberdeen. As a local principal investigator, he has contributed to over 20 multicentre trials focusing on diabetes and endocrine disorders. This experience, coupled with his involvement in systematic reviews and national committees, allows him to provide the most up-to-date and evidence-based care in the field of Endocrinology.
