About me

Craig Thompson is the Clinical Director of Talking House Psychology.

He is a highly experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. He is an accredited practitioner with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.

Craig has twenty-five years of experience within the mental health sector. Prior to establishing Talking House Psychology, Craig held variety of clinical and senior leadership roles within the NHS and the third sector. He also has extensive experience as clinical trainer, having previously been the Course Director for the Postgraduate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training programmes at Northumbria University in Newcastle.

Craig has a specialist interest in working clients who are experiencing difficulties with anxiety and depression. He works therapeutically providing evidenced-based psychological therapies across the lifespan.

Craig demonstrates a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and because of this he only uses interventions which have been shown to be effective in large scale research studies.
