About me
I am a BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with over 13 years experience, working with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationship issues, and low self-esteem.
I work in an integrative way, drawing on talking therapy, CBT-informed approaches, and EMDR depending on your needs. My approach is warm and collaborative, with a focus on helping you understand what's keeping things going and how to begin a shift.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and use CBT approachesboth evidence-based methods that can help when past experiences feel stuck and continue to affect you in the present. This can be especially helpful if you understand things logically, but they're not shifting on a deeper level.
Some clients come to me after having had therapy before but still feel locked into certain patterns. In these situations, we can work a little differently, focusing not just on insight but also on helping change unhelpful patterns.
People often arrive feeling overwhelmed or mentally drained, and over time begin to feel more settled and able to cope differently.
I offer face-to-face sessions in Crewkerne, Yeovil, Chard and surrounding areas in Somerset, as well as secure online and telephone sessions across the UK.
Walk-and-talk therapy is also available for clients who find it helpful to talk while spending time in nature.
