About me
Life events, both past and present, can affect our mental and physical health. They can also affect our relationships and lead to unhelpful cycles that can be hard to escape. I will listen and work with you to identify the different factors that have led you to seek help, and guide you towards positive and realistic changes for a better, healthier you.
I have worked as an NHS therapist for over 10 years and now have an independent psychotherapy practice. I assess and treat a range of mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, and stress-related problems in adults (18+). I work with people whose mental health is also affected by long-term health conditions, neurodiversity and relationship difficulties. I am passionate about creating a therapeutic experience that answers the specific needs of my clients and that helps them to move forward in their chosen direction in life. My practice is both informed by Compassion-focussed Therapy, and rooted in the current evidence base for effective treatment. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapists (BABCP) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy UK (IPTUK).
