About me
I am a fully qualified and accredited Consultant Clinical Psychologist and therapist with 25 years' experience in treating adults with a wide range of difficulties relating to mood, anxiety, trauma and interpersonal problems.
Most recently, I was Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the MOD, working in a military mental health team with serving personnel and those transitioning out of the armed forces.
I previously worked in the NHS for 22 years, primarily as a lead clinician for the Psychological Therapies Service in an adult mental health team providing specialist psychological support for adults with severe, long-term difficulties, as well as support, consultation, supervision and training to other clinicians.
I offer a range evidence-based of psychological therapies, including:
-Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT)
-Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
I also draw on ideas and strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and mindfulness. All interventions are tailored to your needs, based on presenting problems and individual goals.
I work based on the belief that every individual is of equal worth regardless of age, sex or sexual orientation, gender reassignment, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, disability, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, or religion.
