I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Spire Dunedin Hospital, Circle Reading Hospital, Ramsay Berkshire Independent Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Mr Vaughan Tanner BSc MBBS FRCOphth has over 20 years experience as a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading and King Edward VII Hospital, Windsor. In both private and NHS practice he receives international referral of cases requiring complex Cataract and Retinal surgery.
He established and leads a Berkshire wide Vitreo-Retinal Surgical Service with areas of expertise in retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane, advanced diabetic eye disease, vitreous haemorrhage and traction maculopathy. He also leads a team covering Micro-incision cataract surgery (including complex cases, no needle anaesthesia), medical retina (diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and age related macular degeneration), ocular trauma, general ophthalmology and glaucoma..
