About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years post-qualification experience. I have worked with people experiencing a variety of difficulties across NHS and charity settings, including in the community, remotely and hospitals. Some of my posts have included being attached to GP practices, working with people experiencing neurocognitive problems and being the lead Psychologist in a Major Trauma Centre. I understand the nuances of our health services and how medical and psychological issues interact. I have particular expertise in working with the effects of trauma both physically and mentally, rehabilitation, the challenges of asylum seekers and refugees and psychotherapy generally.

My approach to psychotherapy centres the relationship with you. I will endeavour to create a thinking space where your difficulties can become more understood. This may or may not involve direct suggestions. Sometimes a deeper understanding in itself gives relief. I will stay attentive to how you experience our relationship and how that relates to your symptoms or problems.
